The face of the ring measures approximately 5/8″ x 5/8″. Nikolle Radi meticulously manipulates the finest platinum strands, by hand, to create delicate, intricate patterns.

For as long as he can remember, Nikollë Radi has been surrounded by precious metals. Born into to jeweler parents on the Croatian coast in former Yugoslavia, Radi grew up in their shop where he learned the family trade by osmosis.

But the lessons didn’t stop there: Radi continued to further his education as both an apprentice and student in Zagreb. Upon moving to New York in 2006, Radi began working with platinum, now a hallmark of his namesake line, defined by its exquisite lace patterns and latticework. And the city influenced Radi’s work in more ways than one: today, he’s as likely to draw inspiration from the historical surrounds of his upbringing as he is the architecture of NYC.

Always pushing the boundaries of creativity, Radi is not only keen on inventing new techniques, but with crafting his own jewelry-making tools, too – part of the artist’s broader fascination with finding as much joy in the process of creating as in the finished product itself.
